Searching for device codes
Ifyoucannotndyourmanufacturerinthedevicelistortheprogramcodedoesnotwork,youcanusethe
remote control to search for the correct device code.
To search for a device code:
1 Turn on the device.
2Pressthematchingdevicebuttonontheremotecontrol.
3 Press and hold the
SETUPbuttonuntiltheLEDashestwice.
4 Press 991.TheLEDashestwice.
5 Point the remote control at the device and alternate between
pressing the POWER button and the device button on the
remote control until the device turns off.
If the device still does not respond, clear the device button, then repeat the search procedure.
To clear the device button:
1 Make sure that the device is turned on.
2PressandholdtheSETUPbuttonontheremotecontroluntiltheLEDashestwice.
3Press992,thenpressthedevicebuttonontheremotecontroltwice.
Reassigning device buttons
Youcanreassignthedevicebuttonsontheremotecontrolifyouhavemorethanoneofthesametypeof
device.
Example:
Ifyouareusingtheremotetocontrolthecable(CBL),CD,DVD,TV,andtwoVCRs,youcanreassignthe
satellite(STB)buttonasasecondVCR(STB)button.
To reassign device buttons:
1 Press and hold the SETUPbuttonuntiltheLEDashestwice.
2Press992.TheLEDashestwice.
3Pressthedevicebuttonthatyouwant(VCR)once,thenpressthedevicebuttonthatyouarereassigning
(STB)once.The(STB)buttonisnowreassignedandcanbeprogrammedasaVCRdevicebutton.See“
