SYMPTOMS SOLUTIONS
No power.
Snowy picture and unclear sound.
No picture.
Normal picture but no sound.
Picture is distorted.
Available channels are missing.
- Is the AC power plugged in?
- Check your antenna input or location.
- Check your cable input.
- Check your satellite input.
- Make sure that the right display format is selected.
If Zenith HD Satellite Receiver is connected to your monitor or TV via
ports of “A/V OUT” on the back panel, the “DISPLAY FORMAT” switch on
the back panel must be 480i. Otherwise, you may not be able to see a
picture.
- Make sure that the right component type is selected.
If Zenith HD Receiver is connected to your monitor or TV via RGB port on
the back panel, the “COMPONENT TYPE” switch must be flipped to the
right. Otherwise, you may not be able to see a picture.
- Due to copyright restrictions, you may not be able to view some high def-
inition programs in high definition format.
- For more information about connections, please refer to section 3 of this
manual.
- Check volume levels.
- Make sure the TV is not muted.
- Make sure the Zenith HD Receiver is not muted.
- Check that the Zenith HD receiver is connected properly.
- Make sure the proper display format is selected.
- Make sure the proper aspect ratio is selected.
- Make sure the video output is connected to the TV.
- If you are a DIRECTV customer, you can add a channel by running the
“Manual Ch. Add” from the SETUP menu or finds all available channels by
running the “EZ Channel Scan” of the SETUP menu.
- Otherwise, if the Zenith HD Receiver is in the ANT/CABLE mode, you can
only find all available channels by running the “EZ Channel Scan” of the
SETUP menu.
