Motor Controller Troubleshooting
1. Make sure there is Power present on the Motor Controller unit. L2
should be ON, if not ON, check to see if the power cable is properly
connected to the unit. If still no power to the unit, please check
resistances between the following terminals. If any resistance fails,
the motor controller is faulty.
a. GND and POWER Very High ~ M ohms
b. GND and MOTOR + Very High
c. GND and MOTOR - Very High
d. POWER and MOTOR + Very High
e. POWER and MOTOR - Very High
2. Make sure the unit is communicating with the main controller (refer to
the Blink Codes). L7 and LED1 on the motor controller should be
blinking at high frequency. If not, check wiring between J12 of the
motor controller to the main controller. Check fuse on the motor
controller.
3. Make sure the brake is ok.
a. L5 on the Motor Controller is ON and L6 is OFF. If L5 is
OFF, it means that the brake's manual override system is
activated. In such case, the motor controller will not drive
the motor. Manual override lever situated on the brake
should be disengaged in order for the motor controller to
drive the motor.
4. L6 should only turn ON when the joystick is moved either forward or
reverse. If L6 remains ON or OFF regardless of the position of the
joystick, the motor controller may be faulty.
