4 In the Select Installation Option window, select Install products on this computer
now
and click Next.
5 In the Specify Installation Directory window, specify the directory where BMC
Software products are installed and click
Next.
The default directory is
■ \Program Files\BMC Software (Windows)
■ /opt/bmc (Unix)
6 From the Select Products and Components to Install window, select PATROL
DashBoard Corporate
and click Next.
If you are installing on Windows, skip to step 8; if you are installing on Unix,
proceed with step 7.
7 (Unix only) In the Provide the System Root Account Properties window, provide
the root logon ID and password and click
Next.
8 In the Upgrade to PATROL DashBoard Corporate 6.7.00 from 6.6.xx window, click
Yes.
9 In the Review Selections and Install window, confirm the installation selections
and click
Start Install.
10 Decide whether you want to use new settings (for the Web server and time zone)
or retain the existing settings:
■ If you want to retain the existing setup parameters, click Saving with old values.
■ If you want to specify new setup parameters, follow the instructions for the
setup screens, starting with step 10 on page 269 and proceeding through step 13
on page 270, and then resume here with step 11.
11 In the information box that indicates that the configuration has been saved, click
OK.
After the setup parameters are saved, you are returned to the installation status
window.
12 After the status window reports that the installation is 100% complete, click Next to
view the results window. (
Next does not appear until the installation is 100%
complete.)
13 In the results window, click View Log (optional) to review the details of the
installation and then
Exit to close the installation utility.
