System Requirements
To use PATROL DashBoard Integration with HP OpenView, you must ensure that
your system meets the following requirements:
Installing PATROL DashBoard Integration with
HP OpenView
This section describes only the installation of PATROL DashBoard Integration with
HP OpenView. If you want information about installing HP OpenView or PATROL
DashBoard, see
■ Quick Start Installation Guide for HP OpenView
■ Chapter 2, “Installing PATROL DashBoard”
Installing the product automatically performs the following tasks:
■ installs an SNMP MIB called perform.mib by executing the xnmloadmib command
This MIB describes PATROL DashBoard traps.

other requirements
■ You must use HP OpenView Enterprise Discovery to
identify the devices of the network domain to manage.
■ The names of the managed devices must be identical in
PATROL DashBoard and in HP OpenView.
■ Both PATROL DashBoard Integration with HP OpenView
and HP OpenView must be installed on the same
computer. PATROL DashBoard can be installed on the
same or another computer.
NOTE
If HP OpenView is running when the installation starts, its processes are
automatically stopped by an internal execution of the
ovstop command.
