9-2. Installation of an additional HDD
▶ Set the jumper setting to “Cable Select” position on the additional HDD.
Note : Be sure that the jumper setting is correct. If not, the system will not
recognize the additional HDD.
▶ Turn off the power. Unscrew and remove the cover.
▶ Install the additional HDD in the space as shown in Fig.9-1.
▶ Connect the power connector and the flat cable to the HDD.
▶ Reassemble the cover.
▶ Turn on the system and confirm that the system recognizes the additional HDD. If the
system fails to recognize the HDD, check the correct jumper settings and secure cable
connections.
Note : After installing the additional HDD, formatting on the new drive should be
performed. Refer to section 7-3.3. for more details.
