5 Press or to highlight Auto Scan, then press OK/ENTER or
. A confirmation box opens.
6 Press or to select Yes, then press OK/ENTER to
automatically start the scan. A progress box shows the progress
of the scan.
Auto Scan may take a while to complete. A progress report is
displayed while your TV is scanning for available channels. After
the digital channel scan is complete, you can continue to search
for analog channels without pressing any buttons, or you can
press EXIT to exit if you do not need the analog channel scan. You
can press MENU or EXIT at any time to stop Auto Scan prior to
completion, but you will need to run it later to complete the
process.
Auto Scan creates a list of available/receivable channels for the
selected signal input.
Selecting the signal source
To select the signal source:
1 Press TV MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the Picture
menu displayed.
2 Press or to highlight Channel. The Channel menu opens.
3 Press to access the Channel menu. The Channel menu opens
with TV Source highlighted.
4 Press or to select Antenna (for UHF and VHF channels) or
Cable (for cable TV channels).
5 Press TV MENU one or more times to return to the previous
menu, or press EXIT to close the menu.
Hiding channels
You can delete channels from the channel list so that your TV skips the
channels when you press CH+/CH-. You can still tune to the hidden
channel by using the number buttons.
To hide a channel:
1 Press TV MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the Picture
menu displayed.
2 Press or to highlight Channel. The Channel menu opens.
3 Press to access the Channel menu.
