Selecting a Good Location
Select the location for your HP Plasma HDTV. Consider
the following conditions when positioning the TV:
Power cord length: Choose a location with easy
access to an AC power outlet.
Cable lengths and distances to attached units:
Check that cables can reach the TV.
Do not install the TV on an unstable cart or stand;
the unit may fall over and cause injury.
Do not install the TV where it has a protruding
edge, such as on a small table where the display
overhangs the table surface.
Do not hang the TV from the ceiling; the unit may
fall and cause injury.
Avoid direct sunlight that may damage the display
or interfere with the operation of the remote
control.
Avoid areas of high humidity or damp conditions
that may cause fire or electrical shock.
Do not install TV near appliances, such as a
microwave, or near a heat source, such as a
fireplace or radiator.
Do not place the TV on a sloped or unstable
surface.
Provide adequate ventilation clearance around
the TV. If using the pedestal, leave a space of
3.96 inches (10 cm) or more at the top, left, and
right; 2.36 inches (6 cm) or more at the bottom;
and 2.76 inches (7 cm) or more at the rear. If
using some other method for setup, leave a space
of 3.96 inches (10 cm) or more at the top, left,
right, and bottom; and 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) or
more at the rear.
A 4 in. (10 cm) minimum above TV
B 4 in. (10 cm) minimum at sides
C 2.8 in. (7 cm) minimum behind TV
