Enter the name. The name is displayed in the FUNCTIONS window.
You cannot give a name to a disc after it has been finalised.
Disc Protection
This procedure allows you to activate or deactivate write protection.

Use to select [Yes] and confirm with ENTER.
Write Protection On: The padlock is closed.

To deactivate write protection, use to select [Yes] and confirm with ENTER.
Write Protection Off: The padlock is open.
Erase all titles

Some Discs are not formatted. Before you can use them in this unit, they must be
formatted. The formatting erases all data on the disc.

The formatting process begins. After it is complete, a message is displayed.

Press RETURN to stop the formatting process.
If the formatting process takes more than 2 minutes, an error may have occurred.
The formatting can be cancelled and restarted.
Do not unplug the unit while the disc is being formatted.
During formatting, all data is erased, including recordings created with this unit.
