PLASMA: LEAD FREE DISPLAY – MAKING PRODUCTS MORE EASILY RECYCLABLE
The use of lead is prohibited by the RoHS Directive, but processed glass
products are exempt from this regulation because the development of
an alternative material is diffi cult. For VIERA plasma TVs, Panasonic has
developed a lead alternative substance and eliminated the use of lead in
plasma TVs for the fi rst time in the world. This reduces the impact on the
environment when recycling or disposing of them in the future.
PLASMA: LONG SERVICE LIFE – UP TO 100,000 HOURS OF VIEWING FUN
VIERA full HD plasma display panels are designed to provide a panel
lifetime of up to 100,000 hours, giving you years and years of superb
entertainment. There is no back light that loses brightness over time,
so you can count on high-quality images for many years.

SAVING ENERGY WITH ECO MODE
People are increasingly concerned about the energy consumption of their
electronic products. Therefore Panasonic has introduced an Eco Mode as
standard in most VIERA TVs. Having activated the Eco Mode, a photo-sensor
measures the ambient light conditions in the room, and the picture settings
are adjusted automatically. As a result, the TV uses less power in dark light
conditions without any deterioration in picture quality. In the Eco Demo Mode
the Eco scale can be displayed on the TV screen to show how the energy
consumption levels change with ambient lighting.
