INSTALLATION
The first time you use a web browser to connect to a DVR server, an ActiveX
®
control application is downloaded and installed on your local
computer. This control facilitates usage of the Web client’s interactive features.
1. To install and enable IPSec security services, refer to either Installing the Client Application on page 24 or Installing the Client Emergency
Agent Application on page 241 for instructions on installing IPSec security services. Refer to Enabling IPSec Security Services on page 243
for instructions on how to enable IPSec security services.
You must install either the PC Client application or the Client Emergency Agent application to install IPSec security services.
2. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser.
NOTE: The DX8000 Web Client is only compatible with Internet Explorer.
3. Enter the IP address of one of the DX8000 servers you want to connect to in the address bar.
4. Click Go. The ActiveX installation dialog box appears.

5. Do the following:
a. Click the check box to select “Always trust content from Pelco.”
b. Click Yes.
6. Wait while the ActiveX controls are downloaded to your PC and your browser software is updated.
