DESCRIPTION OF DX8000 CLIENT SOFTWARE
The DX8000 Client application allows operators and DVRs to be geographically dispersed. Up to five DVR servers can be actively viewed from a
single PC client. Up to 100 DX8000 server sites can be added to the Connection List. For more information on the connection list, refer to
Connecting to the DX8000 DVR Server Sites on page 22.
The Client application facilitates
• Remote viewing of live and playback video
• Index, thumbnail, and pixel searching
• Exporting to a variety of media and formats
• Printing still images from video
• Limited remote control and administration
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum recommended system requirements for the DX8000 Client, Emergency Agent, and DX8000 Viewer software applications include
• Processor: Intel

III, or Pentium 4 with 800 MHz minimum processor speed
• Memory: 128 MB of RAM
• Video: AGP VGA card with minimum of 64 MB of video RAM, 1024 x 768 display resolution, 32-bit color, and DirectX
®
8.1 or later hardware

• 500 MB of free disk space
• Monitor: SVGA or XGA with 1024 x 768 resolution, 32-bit color
• Operating system: Windows

WINDOWS XP DISPLAY PROPERTIES CONFIGURATION REQUIREMENTS
Pelco recommends that the fade effect and shadow option for menus and tooltips be deselected if they are selected. Any time these display
effects are active, the CPU usage increases and impacts system performance.
