5. If necessary enter a new base port number (9002 is the default).
Consult your network administrator before assigning or changing port numbers. Make sure that the ports are not blocked internally but are
protected from external threats by a firewall. Web client and server ports must be identical.
6. If necessary, enter a software upgrade port number (9003 is the default).
7. If necessary, in the Information Port box, enter a new information port (9005 is the default).
8. Click OK. The site appears in the Connection List.
Adding a DX8000 Site with a Unknown IP Address
To add a remote DVR site to the Connection List when you do not know the IP address of the site:
NOTE: To be successful, the following stipulations must be satisfied:
Each DVR must be attached to the same subnet.
The first three octets of the IP address of the subnet must be known.
The range of addresses used in the last octet of the subnet must be known.
1. Click . The Connection List dialog box opens.

2. Click DX8000 Scan. The DX8000 Scan dialog box appears.

3. If your server is on Network Address Translation (NAT), click the Server on NAT check box.
