Problem Possible Solution
‘The connected device is unavailable
to perform this function for temporary
problems.’ message appears.
This message appears when the selected function is not supported by the
relevant device or the relevant device cannot execute the selected function.
Most STBs, DTVs and camcorders do not support the power on/off command.
This message may appear when you issue the power command for these
devices.
This message also appears when the command is supported but the relevant
device cannot follow the command.
Retry after checking the current mode of the relevant device.
‘Not available format is selected.’
message appears.
This message appears when the selected device does not support the MPEG
format.
At present, D-Net supports MPEG TS only.
‘The Disc is Empty.’ message appears. This message appears when trying to record the contents of AV-HDD using
another device when there is no content saved on the AV-HDD. Before make a
recording from an AV-HDD to another device, rst check if there is any saved
content on the AV-HDD.
This device is unavailable for D-Net. This message appears if you have connected a 1394 device or equipment
other than a supported device (D-VHS, DTV, STB, AV-HDD, Camcorder),
or if the connected device does not support the AVC dened in the 1394
specications, even if the device is a supported device, when you have
selected the device to use it.
Connection failed. Check if the 1394
cable is connected.
This message appears if there is a connection problem when trying to use a
D-Net device.
Initializing… This message appears if the AV-HDD is booting when trying to use the AV-
HDD.
Connection failed. The device is not
responding.
This message appears if there is a connection problem when trying to use a
D-Net device. This message appears when the response of the component
device malfunctions or is incorrect.
No space left on disc. This message appears if the AV-HDD has no space to record.
The D-NET ERROR message appears
on the screen.
Although you have connected external devices according to the procedures
described in the manual to use the D-Net function, the D-NET ERROR
message may appear on the screen. In this case, check to see if the jacks are
damaged.
