Audio output from the unit’s HDMI OUTPUT and 5.1CH / 2CH AUDIO OUTPUTs
• Depending on the AUDIO OUT setting, the following table shows the audio signals to be output from the HDMI OUTPUT
connector and 5.1CH / 2CH AUDIO OUTPUTs. (For details, refer to “When selecting the AUDIO OUT” on page 41.)
*1 : When an HDMI-compatible TV, etc. cannot support some audio formats such as Dolby Digital, DTS, etc., the linear PCM signals will be
automatically output from the HDMI OUTPUT connector.
*2 : The high sampling frequency (96 kHz) of the audio signals will be down sampled to 48 kHz.
*3 : Depending on the resolution (480p or 576p) that your TV supports and the sampling frequency (96 kHz) of the audio signals to be played, 2
channel PCM signals will be automatically output from the HDMI OUTPUT connector.
*4 : When playing a SACD recorded in DSD, no audio signals can be output from the HDMI OUTPUT connector regardless of AUDIO OUT
setting.
To enjoy a SACD recorded in DSD, make the analog connection. (For details, refer to “Connecting 5.1CH AUDIO OUTPUTs” or
“Connecting 2CH AUDIO OUTPUTs” on page 7.)
