Self-diagnosis function
The TV is equipped with a self-diagnosis function. If
there is a problem with your TV, the STANDBY/
SLEEP indicator on the front panel will flash
repeatedly. Counting the number of flashes helps
you inform qualified Sony personnel of the TV’s
condition.
Case1:
When the picture turns off and the STANDBY/
SLEEP indicator on the front panel flashes
1 Count how many times the STANDBY/SLEEP
indicator flashes in total. It flashes at 3 second
intervals. If, for example, the indicator flashes
twice, stops flashing for 3 seconds, and flashes
twice again, that counts as twice.
2 Press POWER on the TV to turn it off, and
disconnect the AC power cord, then inform
qualified Sony personnel or the above Direct
Response Center of the number of flashes.
