Switching the TV set on and off
To s witch the TV set on, set the main switch at the back to position “I”.The light
on the front panel is red.Then press the
TV button, the PR+/PR- buttons or one of
the numeric buttons on the remote control.The light turns green and the TV set
comes on.
Note: It takes a few seconds for the TV set to come on.
To put the TV set into standby mode,press the button on the remote control
The light on the front panel turns red.
To s witch the TV set off, set the main switch at the back to position “0”.
Note:The TV set automatically goes into standby mode after three minutes if it does not
receive any signal.To switch it back on again, press the
TV button, the PR+/PR- buttons or
one of the numeric buttons on the remote control.
Volume
Volume control:
- use the
+/- buttons on the front of the TV set or press the relevant buttons
on the remote control to increase or decrease the volume; or
- select Sound from the main menu, then Volume.You can also use this menu to
adjust the switch-on volume.
Sound mute: Press the button on the remote control.The sound is switched
off.The sound is switched on again, if you press the button or the
+/-
buttons on the remote control.
Displaying status information
In TV mode, press the yellow button (INFO) on the remote control to display the
number and name of the channel you are watching, the type of sound,the zoom or
format.
When you switch on the television or change channels, the number and name of the
channel are displayed.
Note:You can disable this information from being displayed using the Display Source
Info function from the Set Up menu (see page 13).
Accessing channels
Using the numeric buttons:
- for channels 1 to 9, press the corresponding button;
- for channels 10 to 99, press the 0 button to display “--”, then enter the two digits.
Using the
PR+/PR- buttons: scroll through the channels.AV programmes are not
included in the cycle unless you use the buttons on the front of the TV set.
Using the list of programmes: refer to page 11.
To access the channel or AV programme previously being watched, press the
RETURN
button
Accessing AV programmes
Press the AV
.
PC button to display the last selected audio-visual programme and scan
through the other audio-visual programmes.
