Troubleshooting
The table below provides a list of the possible problems that can occur and the solutions. Please refer to this table before contacting the
after-sales department.
If you are unable to resolve the problem using the instructions provided below, set the main switch to “0” and unplug the power cable
from the mains socket.Then contact the after-sales department.
Never attempt to remove the TV set’s cover or repair it yourself.
Notes:
- To restore all settings to their original status, select the option
Reset to factory defaults in the Set Up menu.
- If the TV set is operated without sufficient ventilation, the internal temperature can rise excessively. If the ambient or internal temperature rises above
a certain value, first of all, the warning window on the left-hand side of the screen will appear.As a result, the TV set may automatically switch to
standby mode. Make sure sufficient ventilation is provided!
FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
No picture and no sound, although the mains
plug is inserted and the unit is switched on.
Mains switch in position “0” (OFF).
Display’s mains plug is not inserted in the
socket.
Defective mains cable.
Set mains switch to position “I”.
Insert the mains cable plug into the
socket.
Call the service hotline.
Screen is dark.
Contrast setting too low. Adjust the brightness and/or contrast
correctly (see Picture menu).
Blue screen.
No input signal, wrong input selected. Check the cable and connection;
assign correct input to source.
Weak or excessive colours.
Colour not set correctly.
Connection cable not correctly inserted.
Adjust the colour in the Picture menu.
Connect the cable correctly.
The picture is cut off or off centre.
Picture position not set correctly. Correct the picture position. Use the
auto setup function (PC mode).
The picture is too large or too small.
Picture format set wrongly. Press ZOOM button repeatedly until the
picture is displayed as full screen.
The remote control is not working.
The batteries are flat.
There is an obstruction between the
remote control and the sensor.
The remote control is located outside of
its operating range.
Insert new batteries.
Remove the obstruction between the
remote control and the sensor.
Use the remote control within the
specified range.
The displayed picture is too dark.
The picture quality is not set correctly. Adjust the picture brightness and
contrast using the Picture menu.
The picture is displayed, but there is no
sound.
The sound is muted.
Volume set to minimum.
Press the button on the remote
control.
Increase the volume.
Certain letters do not display correctly (PC
mode).
Set the phase position via the option
Main input settings in the Inputs /
PIP menu.
Check the picture width setting.
Run an Auto Setup.
Horizontal stripes with TV or video signals.
Signal source has been set up before the
TV set.
Video cable screening is inadequate.
Always place the signal sources at the
side of or behind the TV set.
Use only a high-grade signal cable with a
high screening attenuation.
Some pixels are not active.
Plasma screens are based on state-of-
the-art technology. It is possible that
some inactive pixels occasionally appear
on screen in the form of tiny blue, green
or red fixed dots.This is not an operating
fault.
