Dual-Deck VCR User’s Guide
ALTERNATIVE CABLE BOX HOOKUP
Follow these steps if you have a cable box and
want to be able to watch a second channel while
recording a TV program.
NOTES
• To view cable box channels, set the TV/VCR switch to TV. To watch the DVD+VCR through the RF output,
set the TV/VCR switch to VCR and tune channel 3 or 4 on the cable box.
• With this hookup, you can watch scrambled channels, but you will not be able to record them.
1 CONNECT CABLE TO TV
Connect an RF coaxial cable from
the wall outlet to the “IN (FROM
ANT.)” jack on the back panel of the
DVD+VCR.
2 CONNECT DVD+VCR TO
CABLE BOX
Connect the RF coaxial cable from
the “OUT (TO TV)” jack on the back
panel of the DVD+VCR to the Input
jack on the Cable Box.
3 CONNECT CABLE BOX TO TV
Connect an RF coaxial cable from
the Output jack on the Cable Box to
the “Antenna In” connection on the
back of the TV.

4 TUNE THE TV
Set the TV to channel 3 or 4, which-
ever is used by your cable box.
5 TUNE CABLE BOX
With all three devices turned on, set
your Cable Box to channel 3 or 4
(whichever is set on the DVD+VCR),
and then press SETUP/ENTER.
6 CONNECTION IS COMPLETE!
The “Language/Langue/Idioma”
menu will appear on your television
screen. Please proceed with Auto
Setup on page 3.
