PRODUCT PACKAGE
The UFS 910 HDTV receiver allows reception of digital satellite TV and radio channels. The receiver allows
reception of both high resolution and also conventional TV.
The built-in Common Interface offers capacity for two CA modules for pay-TV channels. The receiver
indicates the channel name on the 16-character alphanumeric display. The display also has 16 icons that
provide information on speci c states of the receiver at a glance (e.g. Dolby Digital, HD, timer ...)
The HDMI interface allows the receiver to be connected to a HDTV-capable TV set. In addition the receiver
offers you the following connection options for transmission of the TV image: YPbPr connection, a composite
video connection and two Scart connections. Via the optical audio output, the receiver can output the Dolby
Digital data stream AC 3 to a Dolby Digital system.
The integrated Kathrein Convenience EPG is not only a clearly laid out electronic TV guide, but also enables
programmes to be copied directly from the related EPG view to the timer.
The USB port at the front of the unit allows software updates to be loaded to the receiver. The USB 2.0
host interfaces at the rear of the receiver allow external storage media (USB sticks/hard disks) to be
connected.
SWITCHING OFF THE RECEIVER AND UPDATING THE EPG
By pressing the
button you can switch the receiver out of TV mode into standby mode, and back again.
The receiver has the facility to update the EPG overnight, i.e. at 03:00 the receiver automatically starts
to update the EPG data. If the receiver is programmed to make a recording at this time, the updating is
postponed until 03:00 the following night.
The update time cannot be changed.
During the update, the EPG data for all channels listed in the favourites lists, together with the rst 25
channels in the overall channel list are updated. This update happens however only if the receiver is in
standby mode. If the receiver is completely switched off (at the mains) or if it is in operation, the update will
be delayed. After updating the data, the receiver automatically switches back to standby. You can however
by pressing the
button break off the update before it is nished; the receiver then switches immediately
into standby mode.
