Timer

On/Off
The timer allows you to set a time when the TV will auto-
matically change the channel and turn on. You select
the time and day for the TV to turn on and the device and
channel to display. At your preselected time, the timer
will turn on the TV and this message will be displayed:
“Press a button for the TV to stay on.” Press any button
on the remote control within five minutes or the TV will
turn itself off.

Set Day
Select the day or days that the TV will turn on auto-
matically. Press ADJUST to select Daily, Mon-Fri
(Monday through Friday), or the individual days of the
week.
Set Time
Press ADJUST repeatedly to slowly select the
hour or press and hold to quickly select the hour. Press
ENTER to move to the minutes options. Press ADJUST
to select minutes.
Device
Press ADJUST to select the device to use when the
timer turns on the TV. If the TV is already on, the timer
will switch the TV to this selected device.
Channel
When ANT 1 is the selected device, you may select any
memorized channel. Press ADJUST to select the
channel and the TV will tune to this channel in memory
when the timer turns it on. This includes sub-channels
for digital choices.
Lamp Reminder
Select to reset the lamp reminder message after you have
changed the lamp cartridge. Press ENTER, then press
ENTER again to confirm reset of the lamp reminder. To
have an accurate reminder that the lamp cartridge may
soon need replacement, reset the lamp reminder only
when you replace the lamp cartridge. See Appendix F
for detailed information about changing the lamp.
Software Version
For servicing purposes it may be necessary to know the
software version in your TV. This information is displayed
on the Setup menu screen.
When using the Auto option you may find that some
channels send the incorrect time and the TV clock is
reset every time you tune to those channels. To prevent
unwanted clock resets, use the Auto setting to set the
clock from a channel sending the correct time, then
change the setting to Manual.
