Buttons on the
DV-CP706 work OK but
those on the remote con-
troller don’t?
There are no batteries in the remote controller. Install new batteries (page 17).
The batteries are flat. Replace with new batteries (page 17).
The batteries are installed incorrectly.
Check the batteries and correct as necessary
(page 17).
You’re not pointing the remote controller at
the DV-CP706’s remote sensor.
Point the remote controller at the DV-CP706’s
remote sensor (page 17).
You’re too far away from the DV-CP706.
Use the remote controller closer to the DV-CP706
(page 17). The remote controller has a range of
approximately 16 ft. (5 meters).
A strong light source is interfering with the
DV-CP706’s remote sensor.
Make sure that the DV-CP706 is not subjected to
direct sunshine or inverter-type fluorescent lights.
Relocate if necessary.
If the DV-CP706 is installed in a cabinet with
colored glass doors, the remote controller may
not work reliably when the doors are closed.
Open the doors, or use a cabinet without colored
glass.
The functions don’t
work?
The cable is not connected properly. Make sure the cable is connected properly.
The DV-CP706 is not connected with an ana-
log audio connection.
To use , you must make an connection
and an analog audio connection (RCA) between
the DV-CP706 and the AV receiver, even if they are
connected digitally.
RIHD doesn’t work?
The HDMI Control setting is set to Off. Set the HDMI Control setting to On.
A component in your system does not support
CEC.
Refer to the component’s instruction manual to see
if it supports CEC.
A component in your system has HDMI CEC
control turned off.
Refer to the component’s instruction manual and
turn on HDMI CEC control.
One of the components in your system does
not support CEC or is not connected correctly.
Refer to the other component’s instruction manual
to see if it supports CEC and check your connec-
tions.
There’s a problem with the HDMI cable that
you’re using.
Try another HDMI cable.
The DV-CP706’s settings may be changed by
disconnecting and connecting the HDMI
cable.
Display a video manually on the TV.
