COMMANDS FROM A PC
This section covers the commands sent from the PC (or other equipment) to the VCR and
the VCR’s responses.
WHEN CONTROLLING ONLY ONE VCR
Set VCR ADDRESS in the RS-232C menu to NONE when controlling only one VCR via the PC.

• When you set DELIMITER<RECEIVE> to CR, input the carriage return code (0DH).
When you set DELIMITER<RECEIVE> to CR•LF, input the carriage return code (0DH)
and line feed code (0AH).
• When you set DELIMITER<SEND> to CR, the carriage return code (0DH) will be
input.
When you set DELIMITER<SEND> to CR•LF, the carriage return code (0DH) and line
feed code (0AH) will be input.
Example 1
Switch on the VCR (when DELIMITER<SEND> and DELIMITER<RECEIVE> of the RS-
232C menu are set to CR).

CR indicates carriage return code (0DH).

Recording was attempted, but failed because the cassette’s erasure prevention tab was
broken (when DELIMITER<SEND> and DELIMITER<RECEIVE> of the RS-232C menu are
set to CR).
