Connect Peripheral Equipment
There is a wide range of audio and video equipment that can be connected
to your receiver.The following connection diagrams show you how to
connect them to the back or the front side of the receiver.
Note: Do not place your video recorder too close to the screen as some video
recorders may be susceptible for signals out of the display.
Keep a minimum distance of 20” to the screen.
& Connect the supplied antenna cable 1 to the RF IN socket of your video
recorder.
é Connect another RF cable 2 from the output OUT of your video recorder
to the input x of your receiver.
Better quality when playing from your video recorder can be obtained if you
also connect the Video,Audio Left and Right (only for stereo equipment)
cables 3 to the
VIDEO, AUDIO L and R inputs A/V IN 1 or A/V IN 2.
The
VIDEO OUT connectors on the receiver can be used for daisy chaining
or to record programs from your receiver. See Record with your video
recorder, p. 27.
If you are using only mono equipment, connect only the
VIDEO and the
AUDIO L sockets.
If your video recorder has an S-VHS video jack:
For improved picture quality, connect a S-video cable with the
S-VIDEO input
on the receiver instead of connecting the video recorder to the
VIDEO jack
of
A/V1 IN or A/V2 IN.
S-Video does not provide audio, so audio cables must still be connected to
provide sound.
