Tuning Your Instrument (TUNER)
The BR-800 provides a Chromatic Tuner function that
makes it easy to tune an instrument. The built-in tuner
supports guitar or bass guitar.
Here’s how to tune your guitar.
* Playback or recording is not possible while using the tuner.
First, make sure that:
Your guitar is connected to the GUITAR/BASS INPUT
jack
The INPUT SELECT (p. 37) INPUT setting is at
“GUITAR/BASS”

Press the [MENU] button.

Use the CURSOR [ ] [ ] buttons to move the
cursor to “TUNER,” and press the [ENTER] button.
The TUNER screen will appear.

To turn off the tuner, press the [EXIT] button.
Indications while tuning
The BR-800’s built-in tuner shows the reference pitch, note
name, and tuning guide.

The tuning guide indicates the difference between the input
pitch and the displayed note name. If the difference
between the input and the correct pitch is within ±50 cents,
the tuning guide shows the amount of difference.

Play a single note on the open string that you’re
tuning.
The display will show the note name that is closest to
the pitch of the string you played.
* You must cleanly play a single note on only the string
you’re tuning.

Tune your instrument so that the correct note name of
the string you’re tuning appears in the display.

If you don’t want sound to be heard while you’re
tuning, lower the [MASTER] fader.
