The sleep timer function enables you to shut off
the power without pressing POWER button after
a desired period.
• You must use the remote control unit for the
following steps.
Press SLEEP button on the remote control repeat-
edly until desired SLEEP time is display.

Press STOP button when playback is completed.

The shut off time can be determined by the num-
ber of times you press the button. (The sleep timer
will be displayed on the screen when you press the
SLEEP button on remote control.)

3 pushes 60 minutes 60 MINUTE
4 pushes 90 minutes 90 MINUTE

When a tape is inserted, tl_e unit turns on automat-
icaUy.
Note: If the erase-protection tab has been re-
moved, the TV/VCR will start playback automat-
ically.
If playback does not begin automatically, press
PLAY button.

quality when playing back worn cassettes such as
those rented from a video shop.
Before playback, follow steps below.

• Once you select the Rental Play mode, it stays
in effect even after you turn off the TV/VCR.
* To exit the Rental Play mode, repeat steps [1] to
[3]. Then, follow step [4], but select [OFF] for
normal playback.
