Authorizing a Disc
When the “Child Lock” feature is active, the child protection dialog window (figure 19) appears on your TV screen each time
a new DVD-Video or Video CD is played.
Figure 19: MOON Calypso Child Protection Dialog Window
You have two options:
(i) “Play Once” allows the disc to be played as long as its loaded in the Calypso and it remains on.
(ii) “Play Always” authorizes the disc to be played even if the “Child Lock” function in the setup menu is acticvated. The “Child Safe”
temporary feedback symbol will briefly appear on your TV screen and the Calypso will remember that this disc is authorized for
future use.
The Calypso maintains a list of eighty (80) “Child Safe” titles in its memory. A disc is placed at the top of this list
when you select “Playback Always” in the child protection dialog box. When this list is full and a new disc is added, the last
disc on the list is deleted from the Calypso’s memory. Since double-sided DVD-Videos may have a different ID for each
side, both sides may need to be authorized separately.
Unauthorizing a Disc
(i) Place the authorized disc in the Calypso’s transport. Playback will begin immediately.
(ii) Press either “STOP” or (¢) when the “Child Safe” temporary feedback symbol appears.
(iii) The “Child Lock On” temporary feedback symbol replaces the “Child Safe” symbol. The disc is now unauthorized.
