Meaning
In the BVE mode of the MAV-555, the cut information for the
edit file is stored internally, and this cut information used on
the MAV-555 for nonlinear editing.
The number of cuts allowed for one file is limited. (When this
error message appears, the limit has been reached and the
target file can no longer be edited.)
Solution
When this message appears, on the MAVE-F555 editing
panel hold the following keys down together for at least 2
seconds: [
?b
], [
B?
] and [
] (or [ ]) to display the
“Package this File?” message. Then press the EXECUTE/
REC key to clear the current file cut information so you can
continue editing. However, please remember that because
the cut information has been cleared, even if you perform a
cut jump, you will no longer be able to cue up to the
beginning or end of the file. If you want to cancel with the
“Package this File?” message displayed, press the [
] or
[
] key. Also, you cannot perform trimming on a file that
contains more than 1,000 cuts.
If this error occurs when executing trimming, a message will
display and tell you that trimming cannot be executed using
the specified IN point (or OUT point) and that you have
exceeded the limit for the number of allowed cuts. Try again
by specifying a new IN point (or OUT point), or cancel the
trimming operation.
The cut information area can internally store only a limited
number of files.
When the “Edit Entry Full” message appears, this area is full
and you can no longer create files for editing. You cannot
continue editing in this state because the system creates the
temporary file for internal editing on the RP Port.
Solution
Hold down the SHIFT key and press the DEL FILE key for at
least two seconds to display the "Optimize Disk?" message.
Holding down the SHIFT key and pressing the DEL FILE key
again displays the "Initialize All Files?" message. Then press
EXECUTE/REC key to clear all of the cut information held on
the MAV-555 so you can restore conditions where you can
continue editing and creating new files. However, please
remember that after you clear all files, you can no longer
execute cut jump or UNDO/REDO. To cancel while the
message is displayed, press the DEL FILE key again.
Files can no longer be created because the material entry on
the MAV-555 hard disk is full.
Solution
Delete unneeded files.
There is a limit on the amount of data for processing the
positions of files on the hard disk.
When the “Too Much Fragmentation” message appears, this
means that the limit for file handling has been reached and
you can no longer execute editing.
Solution
Play back the file that you are editing, record the file on a
Record port, and begin editing as a new file.
Displayed when the length of the cut is was shortened in the
LIFTmode at trimming, and the foundation of the adjacent cut
is insufficient.
Solution
Specify the IN point and OUT point within the range of the
adjacent cut.
