Replacing a section on the recorder with another cut specified on
the recorder
To specify the section for a cut to replace a specified position within the same
file on the recorder, use the following procedure.

1 Press the [ ] key, and select INSERT mode.
2 Select the recorder port.
3 Use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog dial to search for the IN
point.
4 Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK IN
key.
This specifies the IN point for the source for the replacement cut.
5 The same as the IN point, use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog
dial to search for the OUT point.
6 Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK OUT
key.
This specifies the OUT point for the source for the replacement cut.
7 Now continue from step 8 of the procedure under “Replacing a section on
the recorder with a cut specified on the player” (page 3-25).
