Overwriting a specified section on the recorder with a cut from the
recorder
To specify the section for a cut to overwrite a specified position within the
same file on the recorder, use the following procedure.

1 Press the [ ] key, and select OVERWRITE mode.
2 Select the recorder port.
3 Use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog dial to search for the IN
point.
4 Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK IN
key.
This specifies the IN point of the source cut to be used for overwriting.
5 The same as the IN point, use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog
dial to search for the OUT point.
6 Holding down the SHIFT key on the MAVE-F555, press the MARK OUT
key.
This specifies the OUT point of the source cut to be used for overwriting.
7 Now continue from step 5 of the procedure under “Overwriting a specified
section on the recorder with a cut from the player” (page 3-30).
