6 The same as the IN point, use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog
dial to select the OUT point for the interval to delete.
7 Press the MARK OUT key on the MAVE-F555.
The time data of the OUT point appears on the monitor screen.
8 Using the channel specification keys (V, A1, A2, A3, and A4), select the
channel(s) in which you will delete.
Press the key(s) corresponding to the channel(s) you want to delete,
turning on the indicator(s) above the key(s).
If you select only specific channels to delete, see the section Channel
specification when deleting (page 3-37).
9 To execute the deletion, press the EXECUTE/REC key.
This carries out the deletion, and EDITED appears on the monitor
screen.
The recorder file is replaced by the editing result file (the file after
deleting), and the unit cues up to the OUT point of the deleted section.
Notes
In LIFT mode and EXTRACT mode, the player IN and OUT points always
appear as --:--:--:--.
After executing the deletion, as the recorder file is replaced by the editing
result file, the monitor screen goes temporarily blank.
At the point at which you execute the deletion, the IN and OUT points of the
deleted section are saved as the player IN and OUT points. If this interval is
used for editing in the OVERWRITE mode, specify only the IN point.
Editing cannot be performed if the OUT point is specified.
For details of the holding period for the player and recorder IN point and OUT
point, see Section 3-2-12, IN Point and OUT Point Holding Periods (page 3-54).
In the LIFT mode editing can be performed without specifying an OUT point
with the MARK OUT key on the MAVE-F555. Press the EXECUTE/REC
key and when the desired OUT point appears press the ALL STOP key on the
MAVE-D555. The stop point is specified as the OUT point.
