Chapter 3 Operations for Linear/Nonlinear Editing 3-49 (E)
6 Use the MAVE-D555 or BVE-series editor jog dial to search for the
trimming IN point (or OUT point), and then press the MARK IN (MARK
OUT) key. Pressing the MARK IN (or MARK OUT) again writes over the
desire trim IN point (or OUT point).
An IN point and OUT point cannot be edited at the same time.
After you press the MARK IN (or MARK OUT) key, the IN point (or
OUT point) cannot be cleared.
7 Press the EXECUTE/REC key to execute trimming.
When the insert mode is selected and the IN point trimmed, the display
jumps to the IN point of the cut to be trimmed. In any mode other than
insert mode, the display jumps to the edit point.
If the effect pattern is selected at this time, trimming is executed with the
effect inserted.
Notes
Only the Recorder port is enabled for trimming.
Trimming is performed only on the temporary file for trimming. The Player
port is not used.
After pressing the TRIM key at Step 5 to create the temporary file, if you
want to cancel trimming, just press the TRIM key again.
During trimming, you cannot change files on any port.
When a file using Player material during editing is deleted, trimming with a
cut using that file for reference can no longer be performed.
Deleting an Effect Result from a Cut

1 Press the cut jump keys ([

that contains an effect result.
2 Hold down the EXTRACT [ ] key (or LIFT [ ] key) and press the

lit, pressing the DISS (or WIPE) key will also delete the effect result.
An effect result of a cut that uses an animation system effect cannot be
deleted.
