Press the EXECUTE/REC key to execute split editing.
The Recorder file becomes the result of the edit (the file after split editing),
and jumps to the OUT point.
Releasing the Split Edit Mode
As soon as split editing is completed, the system is released automatically
from the split edit mode and restored to the normal editing mode. However,
you can use the procedure below to release the system from the split edit mode
without completing the split edit procedure.
1 Hold down the [ ] (or [ ] key) and press the MARK SPLIT key.
On the monitor display the split edit mode goes off, and the normal editing
mode is restored.
3-2-11 Editing Operation
REPLAY/PREVIEW
Before editing execution and before executing trimming, the editing result can
be viewed by pressing the PREVIEW key. Further, after completing the edit
execution and the trimming, the editing result can be replayed by pressing
REPLAY key (SHIFT key + PREVIEW key).
Operation at Edit Execution
At the point when the EXECUTE/REC key is pressed to execute editing,
editing is completed without playback provided that the conditions below are
not met. If any of the conditions below is met the desired portion can be
captured in the MAV-555 while viewing playback.
• The operation is an effect edit, not a cut edit and the effect is not yet captured
(a preview is not executed, or the setting was changed after preview
execution).
• A DMC edit.
• An edit using and audio feeder.
• A voice over edit.
• The Player is a VTR, and the edit interval is not yet captures (a preview is not
executed, or the setting was changed after preview execution).
Notes
• If you want to conduct a cut edit with playback that is ordinarily not
conducted with playback, then press SHIFT key + EXECUTE/REC key to
play back the edit interval.
• When a previous preview was performed and after a desired part of a material
was captured, you can capture a desired portion of a material in the MAV-
555 by pressing SHIFT key + EXECUTE/REC key while performing an new
playback.
