< When 7CH DIRECT is selected, the DSP and the AUTO button
do not work.
If a digital device is connected to DIGITAL IN terminals,
select desired decoding mode by pressing the AUTO button.
Each time the AUTO button is pressed, the decoding mode is
changed as follows:
IN-AUTO (default):
The appropriate decoding mode is selected automatically.
Usually, select this.
IN-DTS:
Select this only when the input signal is DTS.
IN-PCM:
Select this only when the input signal is PCM.

The AUTO button works only when the function is set to VIDEO
or CD and the digital input is selected.

When IN-AUTO is selected, noise may be heard during
playback of a DVD recorded in DTS format. In this case, select
IN-DTS.

If the selected decoding mode does not match with the input
signal, "DIGITAL" indicator will blink and no sound will be
heard.
Select the desired surround mode by pressing the DSP button.
Each time the DSP button is pressed, the surround mode
changes.
When Dolby Digital signals are input and IN-AUTO is selected,
the surround mode is set to DOLBY DIGITAL automatically.
If you press the DSP button, you can select one of the
following surround modes:
When the source is Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby Digital EX :
DOLBY DIGITAL EX, DOLBY DIGITAL, DOLBY VIRTUAL
When the source is Dolby Digital 2-channel:
DOLBY DIGITAL EX, DOLBY PRO LOGIC II MOVIE, DOLBY
PRO LOGIC II MUSIC, DOLBY PRO LOGIC, DOLBY VIRTUAL
When DTS signals are input and IN-AUTO or IN-DTS is
selected, the surround mode is set to DTS or DTS-ES
automatically. The DSP button does not work.

When the surround back speaker is set to "L (large)" or "S
(small)", DTS 5.1 signals are processed into DTS-ES MATRIX
