Setting up your TV
Learning about the menu system
After you have installed the batteries and programmed the remote
control, you will need to set some preferences on the TV using the
menu system. You can access the menu system using the control
touchpad on the TV front or the remote control.
1. Press MENU to display the menu system.
2. Press x or • to select a menu.
3. Press y or z to select an item.
4. Press x or • to select or adjust a setting.

•If you do not make a selection within 15 seconds, the main
menus close automatically; the other menus close automatically
within 6 seconds.
•To close an on-screen menu instantly, press EXIT.

Note:
When the TV is in PC IN mode*:
• Menus and items not applicable to PC IN
mode cannot be selected or adjusted. The
only accessible menus are PICTURE,
AUDIO, and THEATER.
• A different PICTURE menu is displayed
(see illustration below). V-POSITION,
H-POSITION, and IMAGE FLICKER
PHASE adjustments are added. See page
48 for details.
