TIME SEARCH
With discs that support display of elapsed time, you can locate a
point in the disc by specifying the time from the beginning of this
disc.
For DVDs, you can locate a point in a title by specifying the time
from the beginning of the title. (The time search can be used only
within a title.)

For DVDs: Press T-SEARCH 3 times.
For audio CDs and VCDs: Press T-SEARCH twice.

Press the numbered buttons to enter the time of
the desired location.

Example:
To specify 1:17:30 (1 hour 17 minutes 30 seconds), press 1, 1,
7, 3 and 0.
To specify 0:08:07 (8 minutes 7 seconds), press 8, 0 and 7.
If you entered wrong numbers
Press C repeatedly to remove the numbers you entered. Then
enter the correct numbers.

Press ENTER or c.
Play begins at the specified location.
NOTE
• If you specify a time greater than the length of the disc, the
symbol is displayed. In this case, repeat from step 1 with a valid
time.
• Time search may not work with some discs even if they support
the display of elapsed time.
CHAPTER SEARCH (DVD ONLY)
You can specify the playing location of a DVD by the chapter
number.

chapter number.

Example:
To play chapter number 17, press +10, 7.
You can also use i or k to change the selected track number
on the monitor screen.
If you entered a wrong number
Press C to remove the number you entered. Then enter the
correct number.

Play begins at the specified chapter.
NOTE
If you specify a chapter number which does not exist on the disc,
the symbol is displayed. In this case, repeat from step 1 with a
valid chapter number.
