Switching between groups and tracks Selecting still pictures
In the stop or play mode, press [SEARCH MODE] and
select the search mode.
• The mode switches each time the button is pressed and is
indicated at the bottom left of the screen, as shown below.
Use [NUMBER] (0 ~ 9, +10) input the number of the
group or track you want to play.
• Playback starts from the specified group or track.

• The search mode set by pressing [SEARCH MODE] is stored in the
memory until the disc tray is opened.
Some DVD-Audio discs contain special groups called “bonus groups”
which can only be played by inputting a password.
In the Stop mode, press [SEARCH MODE] and select
the “GROUP”.
• The ”GROUP” indicator lights.
Use [NUMBER] (0 ~ 9, +10) to input the bonus group
number.

Use [NUMBER] (0 ~ 9) to input the passwords (4
digits), then press [ENTER].
• Playback starts from the first track in the specified group.
In some cases the password is input from a menu screen. Follow
the instructions on the screen.

Playing bonus groups
¢If you input the wrong password:
Press [CLEAR].
For DVD-Audio discs containing still pictures, the desired still picture
can be selected.
Press [PAGE +] or [PAGE –] during playback.
Some discs may be designed by the software producer so that
the image cannot be selected.
About Super Audio CDs
There are three types of Super Audio CDs.
qSingle layer disc
Single layer Super Audio CD with only an HD layer.
wDual layer disc
Super Audio CD with a double HD layer, offering extended
playing time and high sound quality.
eHybrid disc
Two-layer Super Audio CD with an HD layer and a CD layer. The
signals on the CD layer can be played on a regular CD player.
• About the HD layer
All Super Audio CDs contain an HD (High Density) layer with high
density Super Audio CD signals. This layer can contain a stereo
channel area, a multi-channel area, or both a stereo channel and
multi-channel area.
