When “O.S.D. (PLAY)” is set to “ON” (

pg. 46), various operational indicators appear on the TV screen if you press
(
OK
). (They also appear for 5 seconds when the playback starts.) Press (
OK
) again to clear the indicators.
When “O.S.D. (REC)” is set to “ON” (

pg. 45), the operational indicators displayed on the TV screen will be recorded.
Set “O.S.D. (REC)” to “OFF” if you do not want to record these indicators.

The tape position indicator

Timer Warning Display
A warning appears on the TV screen to tell you that the
timer-recording is to start in 5 minutes if you’re not in the
Timer mode at that time. The warning blinks for the entire 5
minutes leading up to the start of timer recording. To clear
