Chapter 5: Applied Operations
Switching the "DVD VIDEO
Mode"
When playing a disc in which DVD VIDEO and DVD
AUDIO are mixed, this setting makes it possible to select
whether the DVD VIDEO part or DVD AUDIO part is to
be played. To reproduce only the DVD VIDEO part, set
this item to "On".
At the factory, the player has been set to "Off" with
which the DVD AUDIO part is played back.
Setting items
" " : Select to return to the previous screen.
"On" : Select to play only the DVD VIDEO part in a
DVD VIDEO/DVD AUDIO mixed disc.
"Off" : Select to play only the DVD AUDIO part in a
DVD VIDEO/DVD AUDIO mixed disc.
Operation procedure
1. Set the mode switch of the joystick remote to the
Purple position.
2. While the player is in stop mode, press
SET UP

to
display the "MAIN" menu of "SET UP MENU".
3. Press
ENTER
to open the setup screen.
4. In the setup screen, select "DVD VIDEO Mode" by
tilting the joystick up or down and press
ENTER

Bonus Group
In addition to ordinary groups, some DVD AUDIO discs
provide information hidden in a special group as a user
service. When this group is selected, the password input
screen appears on the TV screen to inform the user of the
presence of the bonus group in the disc. The bonus group
can be played by inputting the password. (For the
registration of password, consult the software producer.)
Input a 4 - digit BONUS GROUP's password.
Then press ENTER.

Orange position.

to start playback of the bonus group.
5. Select "On" or "Off" by tilting the joystick up or down,
then press
ENTER
to enter the selection in memory.
This setting is reset to default "Off" when the disc
is changed or the power is set to off or standby.
Searching a desired folder/file by its
title
MP3 files can be searched based on the title of the file or
the folder containing the file.
1. Set the mode switch of the joystick remote to the
Blue position.
÷ The maximum number of folders or files that can
be searched is 999. Folders or files exceeding this
number cannot be searched.
2. Press the

÷ If file search is required, press the
MENU/FILE S.

3. Select the desired folder or file by tilting the joystick
up or down, then press
ENTER
.
4. Press the
ENTER
button.
÷ In folder search, playback begins with the file with
the minimum file number in the searched folder.
÷ In file search, playback begins with the searched
file.
