CHAPTER 11 TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter describes errors that may occur while using the high-speed counter module, and those troubleshooting.
The high-speed counter module does not support the following functions performed in the system monitor.
Display of the "H/W Information" window
Display of errors and the corresponding actions in the "Module's Detailed Information" window
Module error collection function
11.1 Error Information
(1) Checking errors in the system monitor

Overflow error
• In linear counter, an up pulse has
been counted from the present
value 2147483647.
In linear counter, a down pulse has
been counted from the present
value -2147483648.
Module status display in the system monitor window
• No display: No overflow detected (no error)
• Module error: Overflow detected
Execute a preset to clear the overflow error.
Overflow detection flag
The following value is stored in CH Overflow
detection (Un\G8, Un\G40).
• 0: No overflow detected
• 1: Overflow detected
Module error status bit of the module information
read by the UNIRD instruction
• 00: No overflow detected (no error)
• 10: Overflow detected (moderate error)
An icon showing a moderate error is
displayed if an overflow error is detected.
