Using the Remote Control
Light Button
Your back-lit remote has a light button ( ) that glows in the dark.
Press this button to light the buttons on the remote. The remote
buttons remain lit when they are pressed within a few seconds of each
other. If a button is not pressed within approximately eight seconds,
the light turns off to conserve battery power.
Using the Remote Control

Component Buttons
Press one of the following buttons to set the remote to operate that
component:
AUX (Auxiliary)
Can be programmed to control a compatible RCA audio or ProScan,
RCA, or GE video component. (See page 24.)
SAT¥CABLE
Turns on a compatible RCA cable box or ProScan, RCA, or GE satellite
receiver. (See page 23.)
Used with PWR button to turn on another brand of cable box or
satellite receiver, other than ProScan, RCA, or GE, when the remote is
programmed to control that cable box. (See page 23.)
TV
Turns on a compatible ProScan, RCA, or GE TV and sets the remote to
control the TV. Used with PWR button to turn on another brand of
TV, other than ProScan, when the remote is programmed to control
that TV. (See page 22.)
VCR1
Turns on a compatible ProScan, RCA, or GE VCR and sets the remote
to control the VCR.
VCR2¥DVD
Turns on a compatible ProScan, RCA, or GE VCR and sets remote to
control VCR when it has been setup. Used with PWR button to turn
on compatible ProScan or RCA Laserdisc player.
Can also be programmed to control a compatible RCA DVD
component. (See page 21.)
