SOLUTION
• Replace the batteries with 4 new AA
alkaline batteries.
• Check batteries are properly installed.
• Try all code programming procedures with all
the codes from the appropriate part of the
Library Code Tables.
• Make sure the remote is pointed at the device
being operated.
• Try the VCR code for your brand. Some combo
units, however, might require both the TV and
VCR code for full operation. To do this pro-
gram the TV code under the TV button and the
VCR code under the VCR button.
• As a safety feature on your remote, you must
press the REC key twice.
• If your original remote requires ENTER key to
be pressed after a channel is
selected, press the ENTER key to select the
channel.
• Try using the MENU, GUIDE, or ENTER key to
make the selection.
• Replace batteries in the RCU1000B and the
remote you are trying to learn from.
• Keep distance between remotes to about
2 inches.
• Do not learn near an incandescent lamp.
• Memory capacity is full. (39 keys for each of 9
Modes).
• Original remote might not be compatible with
learning procedure.

defective in materials or workmanship. Return it postage prepaid to the Product Exchange Center address for prompt, no
