Finalizing/Viewing the Created DVD
Finalize the disc
• to create a disc playable on DVD players.
• to create a disc readable on DVD drives of computers.
• to create a disc to be distributed to others.
• To create a 100% complete disc as a video DVD or photo DVD (you do not
intend to add videos or photos later).
Do not finalize the disc
• when you want to add videos to the same disc with the DVDirect later.
• when you want to add photos to the same disc with the DVDirect later.
Hint
When using a DVD+RW disc for dubbing video (except when dubbing video on a camcorder
connected via the USB connector), finalizing is unnecessary; no message prompting
finalization appears when ejecting the disc, and there is no need to finalize from the Setup
menu.
You can always add videos on the DVD+RW disc with the DVDirect, and the disc can always
be played on a DVD player, or DVD drive of a computer.
