Setting up your HDTVProgramming the Remote Control
The HDTV remote control is pre-programmed to operate your HDTV. However, you can also program the
HDTV remote control to operate other components, such as a Cable TV Box, a DSS, a VCR.
1.
Confirm that the external component is plugged in and is
turned off.
2.
Find your component’s list of code numbers from the
manufacturers Code List. (Refer to Component Codes)
3.
Press and hold the MODE button (SAT, CATV,VCR,TV) for the
component you are setting up until the Mode Selection button
flashes.
4.
Enter the 3-digit component code using the remote control
Number buttons (0~9) pointing the remote control toward
the component.
If a correct code was entered, the component will turn on. (If
the component does not turn on, repeat step 4 using another
code.)
5.
Press the Mode button and then it will blink three times and
go out.
❑ NOTE: Your component may not be compatible with the
HDTV’s remote control. If this happens, you have to use
your component’s own remote control to operate it.
