E Unrated programs
Unrated programs are programs that do not contain a
rating signal. They include emergency bulletins, news,
public service announcements or weathers etc. TV
programs or movies that do not have rating signals will
be blocked if the unrated category is set to “BLOCK”.
First follow steps 1 and 2 on page 71, then go to the
following steps.

A Press [D E] to select “BLOCK”.
B Press [MENU] to exit.
F Set lock code
V-Chip settings are protected by a four-digit code. The
default lock code for the VCR is “0000”. You may set the
code to any four-digit number you prefer.
First follow steps 1 and 2 on page 71, then go to the
following steps.

G Viewing a blocked channel
When a viewer attempts to watch a blocked channel, the
following message will appear on the screen:
The channel will remain blocked until the correct code is
entered using the ‘Number’ keys on the remote.
NOTES:
• The default lock code is “0000”.
• The lock code being set will return to the default code when
the AC power cord is removed and inserted again, or upon
recovery after power interruption.
In case you forgot the lock code, you can reset it by removing
and inserting the AC power cord.
• Once block has been released, it will remain in this state until
the VCR is power off.
A Press [FG D E]
