Scan for shared content. Your Digital Entertainer HD will scan your
network for shared folders. Alternately, you can enter the name of a
network workgroup to be scanned.
Data location. Specify a writeable server location where your media
library and other persistent data files can be stored.
Digital Entertainer HD Message. You are prompted to install the
software CD that allows you to schedule TV recordings and watch
live TV using your Digital Entertainer HD if you have a PC with a
TV tuner.
Electronic Program Guide. Set up an EPG so you can browse local
TV listings and schedule recordings (if your PC has a TV tuner).
Supervisor Functions Menu Screen
To go to the Supervisor Functions menu screen, press Home, and
select More > Supervisor Functions. The Supervisor Functions menu
screen offers these options:
Setup wizard. Enter or change the settings for the Digital Entertainer
HD.
Advanced settings. See “Advanced Settings” on page 6-3.
Full scan for media files. Rebuild the media library. This replaces
current media files and adds newfound media files. A full scan takes
significant time, depending on the number of files you have
designated for sharing.
Scan for USB attached media. Check for media devices such as an
iPod or MP3 player that are connected to the Digital Entertainer HD.
Network test. Measure the data transfer between devices on your
network and your Digital Entertainer HD.
