Tip
During recording and playing
back, the indicators light
according to the audio
recording mode and the track
being recorded. Example:
when sound is recorded onto
the stereo 2 track in 12bit
audio.
Tips
To execute V.O.S. (video on
sound) editing:
1 Record the audio first,
following the same
procedure as recording
video.
2 Follow the insert editing
procedure to record the
video.
To insert audio from the
MIC jack, select “LINE 1” or
“LINE 2”, using the INPUT
SELECT button.

How the audio recording mode selection affects
editing results
When you record from DV input
This VCR automatically records in the same audio recording mode as the
source tape, regardless of the AUDIO MODE setting in the SET UP
MENU. For this connection, press both STEREO 1 INSERT and STEREO 2
INSERT buttons.
When you record from LINE inputs
The sound is recorded in the audio recording mode selected in AUDIO
MODE of the SET UP MENU. Usually, choose the original audio
recording mode of the tape to be edited. Select the track to be replaced
according to the audio recording mode.
