Player function
Rating limits
The Rating limits function enables you to control the type of discs that your children can
watch. If certain discs contain information or scenes that exceed the rating limit you’ve
set, they will not be played. There are 8 ratings ranging from 1 to 8. Level 1 is the least
restrictive.
DVD - Rating limits

Choose the rating limit: select Rating limits and press
ok
to validate. Select the rating with
the
Navigation
keys then press twice on
return
. The child lock is now enabled: the padlock
is closed and the accompanying number corresponds to the rating chosen.
Unrated titles
Unrated titles (without a rating limit) may all be freely accessible or require a secret code:
select Unrated titles and press
ok
to validate. Select Free Access or Password
required then press
ok
to validate.
This function is only available on DVDs for
which the publisher has set a rating limit. It
therefore depends on the disc.

In Europe, very few discs have rating limits.
In the Main Menu, then the Setup menu, select parental Control, and press
ok
to
validate. If the DMR is locked (padlock closed) you will have to enter the code chosen in step
2 on page 48.
