Note for HDMI Connections:
Europe
: Since the HDMI output connection does not allow a pass-through from any of
the analog inputs, ARCHOS recommends that you connect your tuner’s primary scart
output directly to your television and the auxiliary (secondary) scart output to the TV

inputs. In this case, you would not use the analog output connectors of the TV

North America
: Since the HDMI output connection does not allow a pass-through
from any of the analog inputs, ARCHOS recommends that you connect one of your
tuner’s video outputs directly to the TV and a secondary video output to the TV

inputs. In this case, you would not use the analog output connectors of the TV

8.3 COnneCTing wiTh a TV Only (nO exTernal Tuner)
If your television has output connectors in addition to the inputs, you will be able
to record from your television. Connect the TV’s audio/video outputs to the in-
puts of the TV

With this setup, you will only be able to record the channel that is currently dis-
played on the screen. You will also not be able to use the TV Program Guide or the
scheduler.
