Connecting a DVD or Blu-ray player
To connect a DVD or Blu-ray player with HDMI or DVI
cables:
1 Make sure that your TV/DVD combo’s power cord is
unplugged and the DVD or Blu-ray player is turned
off.
2 Connect an HDMI cable (not provided) to the
HDMI1 or HDMI2 jack on the back of your TV/DVD
combo and to the HDMI OUT jack on the DVD or
Blu-ray player.
3 If you are connecting a DVI device, connect an audio
cable with stereo mini plug (not provided) to the
PC/DVI AUDIO IN jack on the back of your TV/DVD
combo and to the AUDIO OUT jack on the DVI
device.
4 Reconnect the power cord to your TV/DVD combo.
To play from a DVD or Blu-ray player:
1 Turn on your TV/DVD combo, then press INPUT to
open the INPUT SOURCE list.
2 Press INPUT repeatedly, or press or to select
HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, then press ENTER/.
3 Turn on the DVD or Blu-ray player.
Connecting a VCR or DVD player
To connect a VCR or DVD player with component cables:
1 Make sure that your TV/DVD combo’s power cord is
unplugged and the VCR or DVD player is turned off.
2 Connect a component video cable (provided) to the
COMPONENT IN/Y, P
B, PR jacks on the back of your
TV/DVD combo and to the COMPONENT OUT jacks
on the VCR or DVD player.
3 Connect an audio cable (provided) to the L, R audio
jacks on the back of your TV/DVD combo and to the
L/R AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR or DVD player.
4 Reconnect the power cord to your TV/DVD combo.
To play from the component video device:
1 Turn on your TV/DVD combo, then press INPUT to
open the INPUT SOURCE list.
2 Press INPUT repeatedly, or press or to select
Component, then press ENTER/.
3 Turn on the VCR or DVD player.
To connect a VCR or DVD player with an S-Video cable:
1 Make sure that your TV/DVD combo’s power cord is
unplugged and the VCR or DVD player is turned off.
Note
A DVI device can only be connected to the HDMI1
jack. If you connect a DVI device to the HDMI2 jack,
you will not hear sound.
